Privacy policy
Version of October 26, 2026
This policy explains how 9554-9358 Québec inc. (Metalaser), which operates Allô Majordome, collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information, under Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and other applicable laws. If the versions differ, the French version prevails.
Person in charge of personal information
For questions or requests for access, correction or withdrawal of consent: person in charge of the protection of personal information, Allô Majordome, info@allomajordome.com. We reply within 30 days.
What we collect
Hosts: name, business name, email, phone, space addresses, guide content and billing information (handled by our payment provider; we don’t store card numbers).
Guests: email, language, consents (guide link and, if chosen, the host’s offers) with their date and the version of the accepted text, issue reports and photos sent voluntarily.
Usage: number of scans, categories and places viewed, with no individual profiling or targeted advertising.
Why
To provide the guide and Wi-Fi, send the guide link, forward reports to the host, give the host statistics, bill and support the service.
To send the host’s offers only if the guest ticked the dedicated box. That consent is optional, separate, and can be withdrawn at any time with the unsubscribe link.
Roles
For guest information, the host is the business collecting it through its guide; Allô Majordome acts as a service provider on its behalf and does not use it for its own commercial purposes.
Sharing and providers
We sell no information. We use providers for hosting and database, email delivery, maps and translation (Google), and payment. Some store data outside Québec, notably in the United States. Before any transfer outside Québec, we assess the protection offered and frame the transfer by contract, as Law 25 requires.
Retention
Information is kept as long as needed for these purposes or required by law, then destroyed or anonymized. The email of a guest who did not accept offers (or who unsubscribed) is deleted automatically after 12 months. A guest can ask for their email to be deleted at any time.
Security
Account-restricted access, encrypted communications and per-business access control. If a confidentiality incident poses a risk of serious injury, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information.
Cookies and local storage
We only use cookies needed to sign in to the panel, and the phone’s storage so the guide remembers the guest. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Your rights
Access, correction, withdrawal of consent, de-indexing and portability of your information. You may also file a complaint with Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
Other regions
When a space is outside Québec, the guide shows the law that applies to consent for offers: PIPEDA and CASL (rest of Canada), CAN-SPAM and state laws (United States), Law 1581 of 2012 (Colombia) or GDPR (Europe). The same rights of access, correction and withdrawal apply.
